Mahakaleshwar Temple of Ujjain
Jyotirlinga of Lord Shiva is established at different places of the country. One of the principal Jyotirlingas, Mahakaleshwar temple situated in Ujjain, Madhya Pradesh. This temple of Lord Shankar has been included in the clean India as the 10th most clean iconic site of the country under the clean India. According to the information, this temple has been selected in a confidential survey of Clean India Mission. This is the first temple of the country declared as a clean icon.
According to official details, the National Hydropower Company had announced to give 792 crore rupees to the temple under corporate social activity. Out of this, the first payment of Rs. 160 crores has been received under Advanced Mechanized Cleaning and Facility Management. This amount will be used in the coming days in the solar energy, RO water unit, e-rickshaw, captive sewage treatment, modernization of the area, life support ambulances and lockers etc. for the temple.

To enter the temple, the distance from the main gate to the sanctum has to be set. There is an ancient trunk in the temple premises. At present, the Mahakaleshwar Jyotirlinga is divided into three sections. Mahakaleshwar in the lower section, Omkareshwar in the middle section and Sri Nagchandareswara temple in the upper section are located. In the sanctum sanctorum, Lord Vishaleshwar has vast south-facing Shivling, which has special significance in astrology. Along with this, there are attractive images of Mata Parvati, Lord Ganesha and Kartikeya in the sanctum sanctorum. Nandi Deep is installed in the sanctum sanctorum, which always keeps burning. Nandi's statue is immortal in the vast room in front of the sanctum sanctorum. Thousands of devotees take benefit of the worship of Lord Shiva, sitting in this room.
