Tourist places in Tamilnadu
Tamilnadu is the most visited tourist destination in both Indian and international tourists in 2014. Places of historical, cultural and architectural importance in Tamil Nadu Tourism in Tamil Nadu is encouraged by the State Government's Ministry of Tourism.
TTDC promotes tourism in the state. The capital of Tamil Nadu - Chennai - is the only place in India listed in "52 places to go around the world" by "The New York Times". Marina beach in Chennai is the world's second longest beach and there are several historic temples in Chennai. Chennai is also known as Gateway of South India.
