In the Union Territory of Puducherry, four coastal areas namely Pondicherry, Karaikal, Mahe and Yanam Pondicherry are the capital of this union state and one of the most popular tourist destinations in South India.

Auroville

This place is located 8 km from Pondicherry city and is one of the best places to visit Pondicherry. The word Arville means the town of Dawn. This small town was established in 1968 by Sri Aurobindo and Mira Alphasasha. This city was the architecture of the famous French architect Roger Crawger.

Varadaraja Temple - Sri Varadaraja Perumal Temple

This temple is a tourist spot from Pondicherry's famous attraction. It is the oldest Hindu temple in Pondicherry. This beautiful temple is built in the Dravidian style architecture and idols of Hindu Gods and Goddesses are seen here. The temple is devoted to the incarnation of Lord Vishnu, Shri Varadaraja Perumal.

Sri Aurobindo Ashram

Botanical Garden

French War Memorial
