Qutb-ud-Din Aibak started its construction in 1220. In 1369, a floor fell suddenly. Then Firoz Shah Tughlaq started the reconstruction. This is the tomb of Mughal ruler Humayun. This is the first mausoleum of the Indian subcontinent. Small monuments are also built inside this tomb. After Humayun's death in 1556, the tomb was monitored by Mughal ruler Akbar. It is said that Humayun's body is buried in two different places in the tomb.
