Jahanpnah, Delhi

The city of Jaahpanah was built in 1326-27 AD by Muhammad-bin-Tughlaq. It was the fourth medieval city of Delhi, which was built to prevent the invasion of Mongols and is currently located in southern Delhi.

Nowadays, along with Japnah and many forts, many other structures are also found in the dilapidated condition, because Muhammad-bin-Tughlaq is known for his moodiness due to his capital being changed from Delhi to Daulatabad and from Daulatabad to Delhi. . In spite of this, where Jaapanah is a favorite place to roam.

At present, the famous Begumpuri Mosque in Jaapnahah, the tomb of Sadhana Enclave, Lal Gumbad, Serega Shahaji Palace and Bijay Mandal are situated. The Begumpuri mosque was probably the largest in that time. But at present, most of the domes have collapsed and this building is now useless. Bijoya Mandal, with a thousand pillars, was probably the palace of Muhammad-bin-Tughlaq. Currently it is also destroyed.
