The name of the bloody door (bloody door) is as strange as the related stories. The bloody door is located near the Delhi gate on the Bahadur Shah Zafar route. This gate was built for the Ferozabad built by Sher Shah Suri, the founder of the Muslim Brave Empire, which is also known as Kabuli Bazar because people coming from Afghanistan would pass through this gate. This 15.5 meter high door is made of Quartzite stone in Delhi.
There are three levels in the bloody door, which can be reached through the stairs located in it. After the surrender of Bahadur Shah Zafar on September 22, 1857, three princes of the Mughal dynasty were killed by British leader William Hudson, in which Bahadur Shah Zafar's son Mirza Mughal and Khizr Sultan and grandson Mirza Abu Bakr were involved. That's why this gate got a bloody door. However, besides this, many other legends are known about the name of this gate.
Some of which are the following:
It is believed that Akbar's son Jahangir killed one of Akbar's navratanas, Abdul Rahim Khankhana's sons on this gate, and hung his body to rot, because Abdul Rahim rebelled against Akbar's successor Jahangir Had to It is also said that Aurangzeb had overtaken his elder brother in the race of throne and hung his cut head as an exhibit at this gate. It is also said that when the King of Persia Nadir Shah had looted Delhi in 1739, there was a lot of bloodshed on this gate. Even after independence, there was a lot of bloodshed on the bloody door in the riots of 1947.
Many relatives were fished on the way to the old fort at the camp. Today this door is a monument preserved by the Archaeological Survey of India. However, in the year 2002, due to an unpleasant incident on this gate, it has now been sealed completely and barred for entry of the public.
