Lodhi Garden is a park located in New Delhi. Spread over 90 acres of area, it is protected by the Archaeological Survey of India, which includes two important tomb of Lodhi and Muhammad Shah. Besides the tombs, the big dome and the glass dome are also located in the garden. These are the wonderful structures of architecture in the time of the 15th century Lodhi and the rulers of Syed dynasty, who were then the ruler of most of northern India.
Lodhi Garden is a popular place for health-conscious people in Delhi, between Safdarjung's Tomb and Khan Market, because it is an ideal place to walk during the morning and evening.
The tomb of Sikandar Lodhi - this tomb of Sikandar Lodhi was built by his son in 1517 AD. It is a simple quadrangular structure on a platform, which was restored by the British by giving an account of Ibrahim Lodhi's defeat to Babar. The tomb of Muhammad Shah - This was the first tomb built in Lodhi Gardens. It was built by Alauddin Alam Shah in 1444 AD in honor of Muhammad Shah, the last ruler of the Syed dynasty.
Big Dome - According to its name it is a large dome and acts as the entrance of the mosque with three domes located in the vicinity. Both the Gumbad and Masjid were built in 1494 AD by the then ruler of this place, Sikandar Lodhi. Sheesh Dome - Sheesh Dome means the glass dome. Due to the shiny tiles used in its construction, it got its name. The dome contains the remains of a family whose identity is not known. Sheesh Gumbad was also built during Sikandar Lodhi's reign.
