Mushroom is effective in treating depression: research
A new research has claimed that silocybin mushrooms i.e. magical mushrooms can treat depression very effectively. This magical mushroom is capable of 'resuming' the activity of the brain's main system of patients troubled by this disease.
Researchers from Britain's Imperial College London used silicibin (the active substance found in mushrooms) to treat some patients with depression. These were patients whose treatment was not successful through traditional treatment.
They found that after several weeks of treatment, the symptoms of illness in the patients taking cilocybine began to subside. This research has been published in the journal Scientific Reports.
