Chausath Khamba, Delhi

Chautha Khambha is a grave located in Delhi, which was built by Mirza Aziz Coca, son of Prime Minister Ataq Khan of Emperor Akbar, during the year 1623 - 24 for his own grave. The name of the fourth pillar is named by two words of Urdu and sixty-eight columns, respectively, which means '64 columns' and which was created during the reign of Jahangir in Delhi. The fourth pillar pillar located in Hazrat Nizamuddin Basti is a square structure made of white marble and 64 pillars which support 25 blocks, each supporting one dome. These dome are located in the interior of the building, whose roof looks flat from the outside.

This building has been declared a heritage structure and this monument is a part of the Nizamuddin religious complex. The other heritage building like Ataga Khan's grave, Urs Mahal - a meeting room and Mirza Ghalib grave - is the tomb of famous Urdu poet Mirza Ghalib in the premises of this monument. There is also a Ghalib Academy near Ghalib's grave where there are libraries and museums of Urdu literature where the works, artworks and paintings of Mirza Ghalib have been demonstrated.
