Old fortress of Delhi is an interesting tourist spot. Besides being the oldest in all the forts of Delhi, it is also the oldest in all the structures of Delhi and it is situated in a place called Indraprastha, which was a famous city.
According to legends, this ancient fort was discovered by the Pandavas on the banks of river Yamuna, which is more than 5000 years old and was built before the Mahabharata period. Researchers have confirmed that the old fort of Chacha was a small rear of Indraprastha name under Diwali. It is also believed that the capital city of Humayun Din Panah was also located here, later renamed as Shergarh by the first Afghan ruler of India. At the same time, in 1556 AD, after defeating Akbar's armies in Delhi and Agra, the last Hindu ruler of India, Emperor Hem Chandra Vikramaditya alias Hemu, had his palace in this palace.
Although it is believed that this fort was inauspicious for rulers like Humayun, Sher Shah and Hemchandra, who ruled from here, There are many interesting buildings around the old fort, in which the Khanwala-e-Kuhna Mosque, built by Sher Shah, the two-storeyed Lal Baluiya stone double-storey lion lion, the Masjid carul floor built by Maham Anga, who presided over Emperor Akbar and southern door for Shergarh Are included.
The strong and thick walls of the fort are on both sides of the tower. These walls are 18 meters high and 1.5 km long, which have three arched entrances, which have a large door in the west, the door of Humayun in the south and the taluka gate, also called the Prohibition Gate. All three entrances are huge two-dimensional structures, with both sides having a turret, as well as a balcony or a window and a centimeter board.
Presently the old fort is a place where every evening a visual-show show is organized in the history of Delhi.
