Gurudwara Shish Ganj Sahib, Delhi


Gurudwara Shish Ganj Sahib, one of nine historical Gurudwaras in Delhi. This guru has an interesting history. It was built in memory of Gurudwara, the ninth Guru of the Sikhs, Guru Tegh Bahadur Singh. At this place, Guru Teg Bahadur was sentenced to death, when he rejected the proposal to adopt the religion of the Mughal Emperor Aurangzeb and refused.

After decades, Baba Baghel Singh, a fanatic follower of Guru Teg Bahadur, found this place where Guru Ji was sentenced to death, and he gave a grand guru to honor Guru Ji. This Gurudwara is located in Chandni Chowk in posh area of ​​Delhi.

This Gurudwara was built in the year 1930, kept a trunk in this place so that Guru Ji was killed. Red Fort, Feroz Shah Kotla and Jama Masjid near Gurudwara are also other attractions.
